It is expected that more than 200 internal scholars will attend the
PACIS 2010 Taipei during July 9th to 12th. Many of them are
outstanding researchers or editors of leading journals in IS area.
To take advantage of their visiting, two research workshops will be
held in
National Central University (NCU)
and
National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU).
This will provide an opportunity for local junior scholars and Ph.D.
students to communicate with those outstanding international
scholars face to face. It is also a good chance for to obtain a
better understanding toward the current status and future
development of MIS research. Furthermore, driven by the high demand
of globalization, this workshop also provides an channel for local
academic scholars to strengthen their connections with international
scholar and to extend their social network.
The major purposes of this workshop are to provide opportunities for
local scholars and Ph.D. students to (1) obtain understandings
toward the developing trend of MIS research (2) lift up the quality
of their research through presenting their research works and
receiving guidance from those senior scholars, (3) strength
international connections to foster the opportunities for
cross-countries cooperation (4) understand the consideration of
developing issues by top tier journals.
