Sciences, Management
Science, Organization
Science, and the IEEE
Transactions on Engineering Management.
He has served on the editorial boards of
numerous journals, including MIS
Quarterly, Information
Systems Research, IEEE
Transactions on Engineering Management, and the Journal
of Strategic Information Systems. Currently, he is the
editor-in-chief of Information
Systems Research, one of the top journals for scholarly
research on information systems. He was recently
conferred the Distinguished Alumnus Award by the
National Institute of Technology (Tiruchirapalli, India)
where he studied for his Bachelor's Degree in
Engineering. In December 2009, he was selected as Fellow
of the Association of Information Systems, for his
scholarly work and contributions to the advancement of
the information systems community.

V. Sambamurthy (Ph.D., University of Minnesota, 1989) is
the Eli Broad Professor of Information Technology at the
Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State
University. He served as the Executive Director of the
Center for Leadership of the Digital Enterprise between
2004-09. He has previously served on the faculties of
the business schools at The University of Maryland and
The Florida State University. He has expertise in how
firms leverage information technologies in their
business strategies, products, services, and
organizational processes. the IEEE
Transactions on Engineering Management.
